um yea. If they dont give you the proper ppe then whats the point. anyway. search of gov deals. theres uselly a coat or 2 on there for sell.

If your dept. isnt willing to at least issue you a full set of turnout gear, they shouldnt be running a junior program. The whole point of being a junior is to gain valuable knowledge and training. Whether that training is on the fireground or just…

They said that,''WE ARE NOT REAL FIREFIGHTERS, SO WE CANT HAVE ONE ON A Scene" But If i do get one and but junior then i can were my gear to a scene. I just want one for safety and to let people know i am a junior

Really, if you need a jacket why wont your department get you one? You have to have the proper PPE if your on a scene of a fire....It shouldnt be up to you to purchase your own jacket
