I have a pair in my Scott Mask. I've had them for about 5 years. My dept. paid for them. I think they were about $75. Like others have siad you can't see much when your in the smoke and steam but they sure help getting to and from the building.

I found these from an optical lab in Naperville, IL. They were called MAG-1 frames.

In memory of Fallen FF Jarrett Little

Fallen
Rest now my fallen brother
Lay soft your suffering back
Rest well and forever
Your memory shall not lack
Rest your tired hands
Wipe clean your weary brow
Rest with St. Florian
Your spirit now endowed
Rest here your breaking heart
We know you gave your all
Rest easy, you’ve done your part
You’ve answered your last call
Rest knowing that in god we sought
Oh lord, watch over another who just fell
Rest assured your troubled thought
As we ring the final bell.

IN LOVING MEMORY

LOSING YOU BROTHER HAS BEEN SO TOUGH,
WE DIDNT HAVE YOU LONG ENOUGH.
YOUR SIMLE, YOUR LAUGH, YOUR CARING WAYS,
THE SUN DOESN'T SHINE AS BRIGHT THESE DAYS.

EVERY LIFE YOU TOUCHED,
MOURNED WHEN YOU PASSED,
BUT WE STILL GET A LAUGH,
FROM YOU NAMING MOM "GOOSE ASS."

YOU'D BE PROUD OF BUTCH,
THE WAY HE GOES ON,
BUT HE'S JUST NOT THE SAME,
SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE.

THANK GOD FOR THE MEMORIES,
AND THE PHOTOGRAPHS.
YOUR WAY OF REMINDING US,
WE STILL NEED TO LAUGH.

9/11 WAS A VERY SAD DAY,
BUT 9/17 IS… Continue

What love means to me

I've had a lot of people ask me what I thought love was or is or what it means. I've been trying to figure out exactly where i stand on that and still dont know. I know what I think it should be but that doesnt make it so. There are so many different kinds of love.
My true and complete love is for my children. They are my world. I would lay down my life for them without a second thought. They make me want to be the best me i can possibly be. I think that is the closest thing I will ever have to… Continue

A Firefighter's Gloves author unknown PLEASE READ

A Firefighters Gloves hold many things
From elderly arms to a kids broken swing
From the hands they shake and the backs they pat
To the tiny claw marks of another treed cat
At 2 am they are filled with chrome
From the DWI who was on her way home
And the equipment they use to roll back the dash
From the family of 6 she involved in the crash

The brush rakes in spring, wear the palms out
When the wind does a “90” to fill them with doubt
The thumb of the glove wipes the sweat from the brow
Of the… Continue

The Dash Poem
by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning… to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
And he spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we o… Continue

My name is Adel and I am trying to figure out what products are best for female firefighters. I have worked as a firefighter for only three years so I am just getting started. Currently I am a student at Eastern algerinne University in in the Fire & Safety Engineering Technology Program. Although I have only been a firefighter for three years I have had my fair share of small gloves that were still too big and pants that went up to my belly button! I was wondering if you could take the time out of your busy schedule to share some of your favorite/best fitting/most functional products for female firefighters. Weather it’s an awesome fitting pair of pants, A polo shirt that has sleeves that do not go down to your elbows, a pair of great gloves, or boots that have an awesome fit. It would be greatly appreciated if you could share your opinions with me. Thank you very much. Please feel free to e-mail me back at adel_pomper@hotmail.com or leave me a commentDelete Comment
