Why I Joined the Fire/EMS:

I'm also the manager of my son's competition hockey team and I seen some pretty nasty cuts, broken bones and concussions.....so I decided I wanted more training. After I got my EMT certification I joined a volunteer emt group that handle most High School athletic events, moto cross events and special olympic events so that I could keep practicing what I had learned and they do lots training so I'll be ready when it's time to recert.

Hey there! I just wanted to stop by and see how things were going? And be the first one to say Welcome to September! Where did the summer go? I am getting knee deep into my EMT class now. So we will see how it goes. Stay Safe. Any termination dust yet?

Hey Robin! I have a really good friend of mine (actually he is my LT.) that is headed to Anchorage the week of Sept 4th. I was wondering if you could show him around UAA?

Hey there! Just dropped by to say hello. Not too much going on here. We have our annual open house and company inspection today. This past week we had a 2 story frying pan fire. Kept is confined to the kitchen and the stove. But it was a hot hot and humid night nonetheless. Stay Safe.

Wow a lot has been going on since I left. I friend of mine just got back from a trip out west and brought me some Alaskan Amber. It tasted soooo good! I missing the fishing up there something aweful. Summers were always the best time. Nothing like leaving work and then heading to the Kenai to fish. Any chance you might want to trade duty shirts? I have can get a WFD shirt in exhange for one from UAA. Just a thought. Does BGC still have the Bulldog team? And how are they doing? No I don't have a facebook page yet. This site was my first venture into the whole social networking thing. I work for the American Heart Assocation here. let me know if you need anything and I will send them to you. CPR anytime kits are are pretty cool. Stay safe and I will talk to you soon.

Hi Robin.

We left Alaska to be closer to family that is here in upstate NY so that our son would get to know his grandparents and now we have a baby girl to add to the mix. She just turned 8 months. My, how time flies. I do miss Anchorage and the friends that I have up there. And boy am I craving some fresh salmon. All you get here is farmed stuff. Not nearly as good! Stay safe.
