Adam's Angels- 3rd Blog Post "All Hands Needed... Please Help"

Dear Friends,

We urge you to read this entire note, repost it, send to your email contacts, etc. and remember what Einstein said. "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing."

One of the charities Salute to Firefighters raises money for (the NYC Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation) is the fund that John McNamara started. The Foundation would like us to remind everybody that their work is still not complete and that the Found… Continue

Adam's Angels - 2nd Blog Post "Word Simply Aren't Enough..."

On Friday, a funeral was held for John McNamara. For those of you who do not know the story of "Johnny Mac," he passed away after a three year battle with cancer due to his time at Ground Zero after the tragic events of September 11th. He was a founder of the NYC Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation which helps FDNY members suffering from cancers because of their time at the WTC site. As you may or may not know, this foundation is actually one of our two Brother-2-Brother initiative partners.

Adam's Angels - 1st Blog Post "A Sad, Sad Day..."

Today, our friend John McNamara passed away.

We wanted to thank John for all of the advocacy he did on behalf of the men of the FDNY who are sick with WTC cancer through the NYC Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation, Inc.

It is with great sadness that we wish his widow, son, family and all of his brothers peace at this heart wrenching time.

We know that the Foundation will go on to do amazing things, in John's memory, so that no members will have to battle WTC cancer on their own.

Now, if only… Continue

Hi Adam, Welcome to the FFN. I've been learning the site for the past three months as I have been recovering from knee surgery. Blew out my right one on a wildland fire a couple of months back. Had the surgery and now life is starting to finally get back to normal for me. This has given me the time to spend getting to know a lot of folks around the world. Something that you may also find really rewarding. This week I started a new group called Hazmat WMD Responders. Please check out the site for some cool stuff that I've been collecting for over 25 years since first getting involved with hazmat. I think you might find some of the shared information really useful. Let me know if I can be of assistance as you learn about the FFN site. Stay safe! Mike from Santa Barbara, CA, USA
