Does your Department have a written "Agreement" between your Union and the Town , City or State that holds your contract ?

Do you know what "Rights" you have under this agreement ? Are you shure ?

Unlike this copy - is yours updated and when was it published ?

Under what circumstances can you be "Terminated?" - Are you shure ?

To what degree does your Union and Contract protect you from "Personal , Political , Race , or Job discrimination?"

Are you "Guarranteed Due Process" at "Departmental Hearings?"

What are your "Rights" when your being verbally repremanded by a "Superior?" Can your answers get you "Terminated?"


I will attempt to go through this book with you , this book is known as the "Red Book" in the Buffalo New York Fire Department.

As our Union President answered , after being asked about its content - "You don't have to know - we (Union Officials) have to know how to use it if you get in trouble ! "
