Finally I found people building there own, as I do. Every year we do a haunted house in the back yard for the neighborhood kids. It takes all year to plan and 5 months to build. This past year we had 300+ people come through to see our set up.

Coffin Project 2008

I followed the instructions on Scarefx.com
Modifications were made. The wood cutting diagram is a tad bit off on it's measurements.

Construction

Finished Project!

I built my coffin out of cedar instead of pressure treated lumber , this cut back on the weight and should hold up just as well as pressure treated wood. It cost me $50 for the wood, deck screws, and a bag of rope.

The skeleton looks great! We smoked ours many yers ago and it gave it a good look, but the stain is definitely easier!
