My sympathies, Rob. I agree that the "sweet" remark was out of line. He should have borne in mind that someone just lost a loved one. On a side note, I'm with the Lawrenceville VFD in Hancock County, West Virginia- at the very northern tip of the state.

Thanks to everyone that commented on my discussion about the wreck I worked a couple of weeks ago the one thong that really upset me was the fact that another fire fighter from another department that I also belong to rooled up on scene and ask me what we got and when a told him that we had a fatality he looked at me me and "sweet" thats what pissed me off I know that we are volunteers but we still need to be professionals out there just a side note I know that the kid tested positive for thc I don't know if that ment he was high at the time of the wreck be safe to all and thanks again to all that commented it help me deal with it

yeah, i can tell you from my experience the best way to deal with a fatality is prayer and to talk to somebody, ANYBODY, but don't bundle it all up or it will come back to bite you!
