With our truck below, there have been some issues raised and some suggestion brought up. I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the Potomac River or the C&O canal, but there is a small toe-path that donkeys used to walk to tow the coal barges. Needless to say, this van is too big to fit and doesn't have the 4-wheel drive capabilities to make it. The way to get to the toe path is also a route that our boat tow units which are pick-up trucks with custom bodies can do, but not this van. The narrow access bridges are just to small. The best solution that I have heard is to get another pickup, with a custom body and a trailer. Tow the trailer, and then once on scene, throw what you need in the back of the truck and drive it to the dive site. Needless to say, where we dive, is always the fatherst point between to access roads and is a long hike to carry all the equipment by hand. Just some thoughts if anybody else has a similar situation.

Stay safe

Heres a picture of one of our swift-water support vehicles. (we have 2 and they're pretty much identical)

WOW! There's action on the page! It's been dead for sssooooo long I never check it any more. I am happy to see interest in the topic. You can be sure I will add my 2 cents to the site, ( sometimes I can't help but chime in). I will also be sure to post pictures as well. Until I put my son to bed I will bow out, so until then, be well.

Hey here is something that I did not know. PADI is not reccognized by the state. We are currently trying to become part of MABAS and all of our divers are certified through PADI. Well unless we go through a different class or the state of Illinois accepts PADI in the future our dive team cannot become a part of MABAS. Im not real sure of the exact details but this sucks.
