We had used several entanglement props and were seeing people getting too used to moving forward through the props. So we added a feature of allowing people to proceed through the prop with their mask clear and a darkened room. So they could see their destination and there the lines were as they proceeded.

But at the end of the hallway, we screwed in a 1/2" thick piece of plexiglass that was donated to us by a local windshield repair business. It's funny to see how many times people bump their heads into it before the surrender and try to back out of an entanglement prop. Not enough training is done to this end, IMHO.

Anyone have thoughts on this? Or other ways to improve it?

We have done similar trainings with ours, we use a 2ftX3ft by 7ft long wood frame box with a combination of both electric and communication wire run cris-cross throughout, at the end we install a piece of 1/2" drywall that the Firefighter must breech to exit.

we have done the same drill w/the wood box but we drilled holes in the side in different locations and but pvc pipe thru a hole to make it more difficult to manuvure thru. Some times they would have to remove thier pack to get thru and we made them but it back on befofe exiting.
