We recently switched from the Bullard LT Series to the Cairns Series. Cairns are great helmets, very lightweight and durable.

I thought so :) been seriously thinking bout getting my self a cairns new yorker, and so i have been told thats it basically costs an arm and a leg. The bullard UST is too bulky.

This is probably the place to ask. We missed a swap for one of the American helmets last year. An American firefighter was trying to visit the station to swap a helmet but we were out on a shout at the time. We have a room in the station where we display fire fighting memorabilia and one of the helmets with the ridges would be a great addition. We have one of our eighties style helmets to swap for it.

Anyone interested in a swap, the condition of the American helmet does not really matter once its OK to display.

We have been using the Gallet helmet for about four or so years now, a good helmet with great protection. Before that we used Cairns.
