I am taking the Colorado FF I Exam on Saturday 12/09, I have been taking practice exams that were handed out in class. Just wondering if anyone knew of any good ones (no Haz-Mat on new test, Haz-Mat Ops separate class/both needed for cert). All of the ones that I have been using have old questions on them. Most people say it is easier than the National Registry (EMT), got A's on both classes and passed the Registry with 50 some questions, but I am nervous about this one. Thanks for any help!!!

I can't tell you for sure, but I believe that Haz-mat is not on FF 1, they shouldn't expect you to know that yet, as for anything else, fire extinguishers, hose rolls, hose lays, nozzels, SCBA ground cover, and Fire Department orginization may be on the test. it also may be different for your state.

the ff1 in NY was easy! atleast i thought so... just basically read the questions carefully and use common sence and you willl do just fine...review any written matterial you have from your lectures and maybe sit down with your instructor and do a verbal "pretest" and find the areas you need to work on a little bit more. other than that i wouldn't stress it too much it is a fairly simple exam. and if you could do the emt "junk" and do it perfect im sure you will do good with this as well

That's for sure for "EMT Junk", that exam was pretty odd to say the least. Thanks!

I have personally seen biphasic AEDs at a local University where you insert a key to reduce the dose of joules for peds and hook up the adult (and only) pads in the case and let the AED analyze and go from there. There's lots of different models ...
