Diesel,
The NYS Capital District Emergency Response Team chapter of Hancock Hope is in the planing stages of our next trip set for the end of July-August 2010. We're planing a road trip instead of flying this year. If you're interested feel free to E-Mail me at Srmaverick2@aol.com, message me on FaceBook (search for Scott Runkel) or message me on here and I'll give you more info.
Thanks,
-Runx

Hey guys,
got back from Mississippi this past weekend. I'll hopefully put some photo's up soon. Still need manpower and skilled mechanics to help fix some of the donated apparatus. Other than that I think they're Morale is good-or at least their attitude in that kind of situation. Goin back next year for the 3rd time, will starting planning in another couple months if anyone is interested.

Just to keep you up-dated, me and about 3-4 other fire-fighters from the Capital Region of Up-State NY ( Schenectady NY-->45mins North-West of Albany) are going down to WHFD from July 31-Aug. 9th if anyone wants to join us for the week you are welcome. We are flying out of Albany and into New Orleans and then Cory (Chief Kim's son) will pick us up. Feel free to contact me @ Srmaverick2@aol.com

Hey all I leave this week for another trip to Kim and the boys. I am taking 4 other firefighters with me this time for a week again. I talked ti them today and as usual they said not much has changed down there and they can still use the help.

4 of us from Hancock Md went to Pearlington a month after Katrina. We took a trailer of equipment down and helped out for a few days. I would love to get back sometime and see the progress. Hope all is well as can be. Let us know what you need. Much respect to Chief Kim and rest of crew.

I have been involved with West Hancock Fire and Rescue since just after the storm. Its a tough little fire department struggling to survive.

I have the higheset amount of respect for the chief and am thankful for all the firefighters who have donated time and energy to help ther recover from near destruction.
