Pretty self explanatory again.

Just wondering what brand of precision tools everyone prefers.

We will just leave the generic stuff that you can buy in the convenience isle at the grocery store and the stuff you can pic up at the gas station out.

At the "home shop" I have mostly Craftsman and some Snap-On and Matco. It is all good stuff.

The wrench set that I carry with me in the toolbox on my truck, I just bought a cheap set of Stanley wrenches and sockets. I think it was 64 bucks for the 201 piece set. Better than taking a chance of my 650 dollar set of Craftsmans walking off : ) I would be one unhappy "shade tree" mechanic!

Channellocks are pretty all right : )

Snap-on first then Mac tools then Matco, as long as it works when needed.

Snap on and Matco is great stuff but so is Craftsman and at way less cost. I have a collection of all of them. All have the same replacement warranty but good luck trying to find a Snap on or Matco dealer when you don't work at a shop. Sears is everywhere and they have tool sales quite often. I probably will never need to buy another hand tool but if I do it would be Craftsman. TCSS
