Pretty self explanatory.

What works for you?

What trips your trigger?

Is it the powerful whine of superchargers and prochargers, or is it the soothing whistle of a turbo or multiple turbos?

Pros?
Cons?

I am partial to the whine of a twin screw Supercharger myself. Aside from just looking bad ass, I think nothing beats it. Especially paired with an aftermarket camshaft and noisy gear driven timing.

Most definitely love the Superchargers with noisey gear drives they just sound so cool winding up in the rpm range

I hear that John! Just nothing compares.

Depends if you want to go real quick or impress. I have had all three. Nothing like the big noisy blower on top, but those fancy (race type blowers) are pretty much out of style in this day and age. Factory blowers are limited to boost. Most factory blowers have to be replaced with an aftermarket one, that can take and supply needed boost. I had a Ford Lightning truck and wanted to boost the HP and my tuner said first thing is to chuck that blower in the garbage and get a Kenne Bell aftermarket one. The new Corvette ZR1 has a positive-displacement Roots-type supercharger with a new, four-lobe rotor design and it makes 638 hp. The car is fast and quick, but people do not know how that type of S/C will stand up to running hot laps at a track (heat soak) Time will tell. I have run a centrifugal S/C's on my late model Vettes, they can sound like an F18 jet fighter or they can be whisper quiet. The problem with them, is they start making power upwards of 3000 rpm. Turbos are what all the fastest, quickest street cars are running. 2 smaller turbos more often than the big single (although the single is still popular). The bigger the turbo the more turbo lag. Nice things about turbo's is, they make power starting right away and keep on going. Another option is Nitrous Oxide, cheapest go fast mod you can do. It has it's draw backs.
1. You can run out at the most in-inopportune time.
2. If one of you solenoid valves sticks open or shut, goodbye motor
3. Legality issues
4. Etc.
Here is are 2 pics of my 04 Z06, one with the 350hp shot Nitrous setup and one with it's Vortech S/C. Also, the dyno sheet of the S/C showing how late it starts making power, but keeps on building through the roof.

Thanks Caleb,
I did like that Z06, but this is my newest one and it is SOOO much better! I am looking at getting the new ZR1 but I WILL NOT pay over MSRP and they are still getting big bucks for them. I can wait, it is cold and snowy up here, so no rush....yet.

For me there's nothing like the whistle of a monster turbo.

Hello all, Speaking from experiance with a SBC 413CI 8-71 blower in my 1967 Chevelle,I can tell you nothing beats the look and sound. However lets talk racing! This will be my last season with this setup. Reason lets talk consistency or lack of. The last two years we have been battling everything from weather to parts. We run with several guys who have swithed to the Procharger setup and not only have become consistent but have taken many finals. This will be our next setup for 2010 season the Pro Charger. There are several guys also running large double screw type turbo setups however this is a very expensive setup that takes a lot of knowledge to master. We run in the St.Louis area and points south, we look forward to racing this year, see you at the races!

We are talking about a straight forward AED correct? Straight AED's are designed for adults and toning down the joules is not an option. That would be a manual defib. - HE IS USING AN AED. If you can adjust or change a key then it would be a SEMI-...
