Linda,
Try not to get tangled up in all the small data that is presented. Attempt to take a systematic approach by learning the "basics" very well. The rest will start to fall into place. You should be using Emergency Care 11th edition by Pearson. In it you will find that each chapter is designed to take a step-by-step approach that makes it easy to get a good feel and knowledge of the "basics". All the other fancy data and terminology will fall into place once you have the basics down pat.

Started Paramedic School on Monday Aug.24. Wow talking about overload. Our program is an AAS program so I also have intro to Phych. I am 45 years old carring 12.5 credit hours. Need my brain to think like it did when I was younger. Wish my memory would work better too.

I am a new EMT-B in the state of Alabama and currently in the Paramedic course. I was a medic in the Army and can't seem to get it out of my system. Hey, everyone!
