Do alot of core work and run. no matter what shape you think you are in the fire service is a whole new animal that will let you know how out of shape you really are...... good luck

I am a Firefighter/EMT and recent graduate from the Fire Academy at IRSC. I will be starting FFI in Oct., I have my NREMT already so that is why Im not taking the EMT part. What would anyone suggest as a way to get fit or stay fit for the academy? Routines and programs of all sorts are welcome! Thanks.
