I don't know what generation I am in this, but it's up there. My father is currently our chief, and my brother is also a member at my company. My cousin is a ff at a neighboring co., along with my uncle. My half-sister, along with my dad's ex wife, both belong to a fire company. My father's 2 uncles and grandfather were both firefighters. It runs deep in my blood. I've grown up around firefighting, so it was only a matter of time before the baby girl joined.

I am a second generation firefighter. My dad retired in 2003 with 30 years. An uncle retired in 2003 with 25 years and a second uncle retired last year with 25 years. My Father-in-law retires in June with 30 years. This leaves the second generation of my brother-in-law and myself. I can foresee one or both of my kids joining when the time is right.
