Just searching online and stumbled on this group. It's so funny reading all the comments because I can relate to so many of them :) Glad to find somewhere to go to bounce ideas back and forth.

I'm the 1st female on my dept (just started fulltime 3 months ago...volly for 3 years prior) The guys are great but sometimes they just don't get it ;) Anyways just wanted to say 'hello' and glad I found the group!!

I can so realate to the slipping helment. My helment has slipped off or slide down a few times. Im trying to find compy boots to. My bunker pants are a good fit, they are mens, but the are fuller and they fit better.

I will be going to the Galls retail store (Lexington, KY) to try on/out a bunch of firefighter & women's products and I will for sure pass the information (as to which stuff is the best/worst) on to everyone!

i will also get the exact type of boots i have they are just plain rubber boots but they are comfey and fit really well. my chief had to find a size small enough for my feet and plus ones that would be of geed quality. i love them too! and they are quite well fit for being rubber boots

I'll second that. I learn a lot from the "ten minute" series
