My brothers and Sisters, the greatest season of all is just a few days away. And while most companys are running around with Santa, its good to know that when we talk about the birth of Christ, we talk about it in such away that it lets those around us know that we are children of God. It is my prayer that each and everyone of you enjoy this Christmas Season and have a very Happy New Year.

well in my department you have to keep the hair above your collar and bottom lip.As you can see in my pic i have a fu man cu stache but it doesn't hinder me getting a seal in my mask as long as I don't let it get too bushy.

Hello, I am a Black man who is a firefighter/Medic. Can anyone help me out by telling me your grooming standards in regards to maintaining a seal with your SCBA facepiece?

Hey...I'm new at all this. Career FF for 22+yrs. Wanted to say,"Hello," to all.
SSHGFFB...saved ,sanctified.....Husband, father of daughter & son.I'm also a minister (Elder)
love to golf, especially with my father.
And I believe that when I asked God to lead me to a job where I could use all the talents He gave me that He allowed me to become a FF/Medic

Looking forward to discussion on this forum.
Oh ,yeah. I believe Sen. Obama is CLEARLY our best choice . ( "...every brother ain't a brother 'cause of color..." -Chuck D.
however inspite of his platforms supporting homosexual rights and also abortion, Sen. Obama needs our total support .
And once in office,we need to correspond with our various representatives in Washington to express our needs ,wishes , fears ,and convictions. It doesn't end with the November Elections . The IAFF needs to hear from a strong body of A-Amer. F.F., if they haven't yet.
I told you all I'm new here,so if I've made any mistakes or offended that isn't my intention.
Peace ,
Charles

It's a fact that we are seeing more and more dishonesty amongst those with fudiciary responsibilities. Around here, the popular excuse among thieves is: "I have a gambling problem, I needed to pay bills, but I was going to pay it back"! Yeah; they...
