U.S. Fire Administration

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official line of duty death of Firefighter David Grass Jr., 34, of the Ste. Genevieve Fire Department (MO) on July 8, 2009.

Firefighter Grass was at the fire station and participating in department sponsored physical fitness training when he experienced a medical emergency. Grass was flown to St. Louis University Medical Center by air ambulance where he succumbed to an apparent brain injury.
