(AP) YORK, Pa. - Dozens of people are displaced from their homes after fire ripped through an entire block of row houses in south-central Pennsylvania.

York Fire Chief John Senft says there are no serious injuries from Wednesday afternoon's fire but the damage is immense. As he put it: "If this happens once in an eternity, it's too often."

Senft says the fire spread quickly, most likely because the houses didn't have fire walls.

It was the second fire to break out in York in the same afternoon. A scrap metal recycling yard had a fire earlier Wednesday afternoon.
