I don't know if anyone else caught it or not but a few months ago there was a video provided by a jr. f/f. I believe the web master alertly caught and removed it very quickly and wisely. For those of you who missed it it showed a jr staging a practice firein his garage. He had recieved turn outs but substituted a garden hose for a fire hose and a particulate mask for S.C.B.A.! Now I'm not saying all jr's are this imature but it does show the possibilitry that imature judgement can produce effects we may not be prepared for. Keeping them on the side under supervision and fostering proper judgement is what a jr. program should be about. During this trime we must assses the individuals ability to assume the roles and responsibilties of firefighters. Until then we must limit their experiences to safe training , certainly there is enough of that to be shared so when they both legally mentally able we can teach the more dangerous evolutions and have them up to speed in a safe and controlled maner. However as has been pointed out there is no such thing as a gauranteed safe live training live fire method., We the more experienced members must watch and guide the jrs explaning as we go the dangers and responsibilities that must be under taken and that as a f/f he must be able to make.

I would have to go with B & C, well if you were going to advance a attack line up a ladder, you wouldn't want to charge it and loose your balance, and you could use a ladder strap for securing the hose to rungs while you advance up the ladder so y...
