Hi im a junior firefighter and our deaprtment allows us to do live fire training in the burn tower what are your companies policies???

Na, a hot fire is a working commercial structure fire that melts business signs 150' from the building and is too hot to stand near about 300' from the building that burns for 3 days and 4 nights. Ofcourse I only heard of the stories from some of my friends who fought the Monessen, PA Page Factory plant fire in 1978. Don't get fires like that around here anymore.

If I'm not mistaking, I believe that is the plant that made the steel cables that now hold the Golden Gate Bridge up in San Francisco.

well, ya all fires of any size are hot but I just felt the need to add that. : )

I think it is crazy to let ya'll in live fires. The liablity alone would make it crazy not to mention the training issues. We do not even have jr fire fighters.
