Ah, that would be why you don't need a wildland pack and why you want an FR pack! That was a hairy situation you boys were in. If you can't find a pack that suits your needs then True North Gear does custom work.

Camelbaks are great, I have one on my webgear. Just a plain one that holds the bag of water. Theres a few companies that are incorporating them into webgear for wildland. I'm not sure who makes them though. I'd check www.firecache.com, its where I usually pick up my stuff. They may have what you're looking for

forestsystems don’t sell this hydration pack anymore, so I had to buy the pack from RAPP Australia Pty Ltd (http://www.firelogistics.com.au/). If you want I can post more photo of my pack or I can email you the Brochure

I think bottled water is probably one of the more common ways to hydrate at a fire...

and USA firefighters aren't the only ones who use the bottled water... our aussie brothers may have tilted a couple of liters...

Can ya get some reflective tape on that bottle? We could "re-package" and make a million!!!!!

Mike,

All of that plastic packaging is really bad for the environment.
It's not the best packaging of choice to carry on the wildfire line, either.

I prefer my two Camelbaks - they hold plenty of water, I can carry plenty of ice in it, and one of them is essentially a traffic vest that contains two liters of rehab.

I'll drink bottled water when it's the only way I can get it, but I've found that filtered tap water in a Camelbak does just as well and doesn't put lots of "forever" trash into the environment.

Ben

I have seen around a bit on the forums and elsewhere people with usernames or signifiers as 'x', then a few numbers. In my thought process I figured that the number is obviously their ID, but why the x? For instance, my ID right now in the depar...
