I liked it in "Backdraft" when the rookie FF asked in the elevator 'how do we know if the floor is on fire when we get there' and Kurt Russell's character responded, 'when the door opens, if it's hot, don't get out'.

and... same movie, when Ronald (Donald Sutherland) says 'that's the thing about firemen, day or night, they're always firemen'.
