I am fortunate to be a member of a large department. We have:
14 Fire Stations
14 Front line Engines
14 Tankers
Over 300 Personnel
10 Quick Response Vehicles (I think, maybe more)
2 Boats (Again, maybe more)
2 Large Mobile Command Vehicles
2 Rescue Squads

Special Teams:
Federal Wildland Team
Federal Urban Search & Rescue Team
Dive Team
Bike Team (for our local trails)
Hazardous Materials Team

I am not sure on the total number of calls for all stations. I know our busiest station alone had over 3,000 calls last year.

Because of our size I have not been to every station. These numbers maybe slightly low. You can check out our website at www.bcfdmo.com.

In my station we split a township which is 6x6 miles so we cover 3x3. We in our station we have one engine, one tender, two brush trucks. Along with our trucks our brother dept which we mutual aid with on everything they also have one engine, one tender and two brush trucks with a rescue. So in our township we have double of everything. On the down side of this we run both stations on less than 10,000 a year.

Just be sure the pads don't touch. Thats why they suggest you place on adult pad on the childs front and one on his/her back. If they short together, they can leave some nasty burns... TCSS, Reg
