Need basic information.

If anyone has any websites for free information about the basic things that would help me to know what Im doing before I get to have my training, please post the address.

Your best resource is those who belong to the organization you belong to. They are the handbook, the guides, and more importantly, they will be the ones who will be helping you learn the ropes.
It shows you have the willingness to learn. That is an important trait. When we stop learning, we stop living.
Depending on where you are from, your County Fire Offices might have some information, but you have all the resources you need in your station. Use them, it will let them know they are important as wel!
