      Manor Township Fire Department Takes Delivery of Rosenbauer Smart Cab

      Rosenbauer’s Smart Cab is marketed as a cost-effective solution for fire departments. The Manor Township Fire Department in Pennsylvania found that speccing the Smart Cab allowed them to include additional features, such as a light tower and master stream, which they may not have been able to afford on a custom chassis.

      The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has announced the winners of its four national awards. A special banquet to honor the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award, Fire Prevention Award, Junior Firefighter of the Year Award, and Junior Firefighter Program of the Year Award will take place during the NVFC’s spring meeting on April 28, 2012, in Alexandria, VA.

    • International Fire Relief Mission President Ron Gruening transfers firefighting and EMS equipment donated from Wyoming from a 20-foot-long shipping container to a truck for transport back to IFRM’s warehouse in Minnesota. This was the largest single donation IFRM has ever received.
