DETROIT (AP) — Four Detroit firefighters who were extinguishing a blaze at a house when it exploded are recovering from minor injuries.

STATTer911: Same neighborhood where six homes burned two nights ago.

Executive Fire Commissioner Donald Austin tells the Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/SHJsFQ ) the firefighters were treated at a hospital for minor burns and cuts following the explosion about 9 p.m. Thursday. He says the firefighters are expected to be OK.

Austin says the cause of the explosion "appears to be a natural gas leak," though the case remains under investigation. Austin says he believes the house was vacant.
