HAWTHORNE, N.J. (AP) — Two firefighters were injured and five residents were displaced when a wind-whipped multialarm fire roared through a northern New Jersey home.

Dozens of firefighters battle the blaze in Hawthorne, which was reported around 2:25 p.m. Wednesday. It was brought under control about 90 minutes later, and officials said the cause remained under investigation Wednesday night.

Authorities say one firefighter injured a knee while battling the blaze, while another suffered a hand injury when a section of the ceiling fell down. The American Red Cross was providing assistance to the displaced residents, who were not hurt in the fire.
