TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — No injuries were reported in a three-alarm fire at a pork roll factory in New Jersey.
The fire at Case Pork Roll in Trenton broke out around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Trenton Police Officer Pete Szpakowski tells The Times of Trenton (http://bit.ly/LMTGm6 ) it was brought under control about two hours later.
The landmark factory in the city's Chambersburg section produces hickory-smoked pork based on a recipe developed in 1870 by farmer George Washington Case.
The company is a rival of Taylor pork roll, which is often referred to as Taylor Ham.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
