Extension to the roof caused firefighters to stay outside.

MARLOW HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — A three-alarm blaze has caused significant damage in the repair shop of a Prince George's County car dealership.

Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says firefighters were called to a Pontiac dealership on Auth Way in Marlow Heights late Sunday morning.

Brady says firefighters found heavy fire and smoke in the dealership's repair shop and the blaze extended to the roof, making it unsafe for firefighters to stay inside. No injuries were reported, but it took about two hours to control the blaze.

Brady says investigators may not be able to get inside the building to determine the cause for a few days until the roof is stabilized. He says the fire loss is significant, but the unstable roof will also delay damage estimates.
