COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A Brazos County Precinct Three firefighter died on Thursday evening while participating in training at the TEEX Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station.
KBTX reported that firefighter William Richard “Dick” Danes, 69, died during a ladder training evolution. The exact cause of death is not known.
In an email from TEEX, Danes experienced a medical problem during the drill. TEEX and Precinct 3 personnel immediately began CPR and transported him to College Station Medical Center.
