WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) — Students and staff members have evacuated the Woodburn High School, and firefighters are battling a massive blaze.

TV helicopter video Friday morning showed a hole in one part of the roof, and buckling in another part, with smoke pouring out. It appeared the fire affected only part of a complex of structures.

School officials say there were no injuries. The school has about 1,400 students.

Firefighters from nearby agencies helped the Woodburn department.

Margarita Roberts, assistant to the superintendent, said students were evacuated to the bleachers at the football field and then bused to a nearby medical facility so that parents could pick them up.

She said reports from witnesses suggested the fire started in two large, empty classrooms that hold wood and machine shops.
