Louisiana Firefighter Dies after House Fire Rescue

WALKER, LA – WWLTV reports that Louisiana firefighter has died after removing occupants from a mobile home fire Saturday morning.

45-year-old volunteer firefighter Scott Osenenko died after responding to a fire in Livingston Parish. Osenenko was on the first arriving unit to the 4 a.m. call and reportedly worked for nearly 20 minutes helping remove the family when he experienced cardiac distress on the scene and was taken to a hospital.

Osenenko was later pronounced dead at the hospital. No one inside the home suffered any reported injuries and the cause of the blaze is under investigation. Osenenko leaves behind two children.
