NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A woman ran from her burning house next door to her fire station neighbors in northern Illinois to get help Sunday.
She got a quick response, but her home still sustained more than $150,000 in damages. The woman rang the firehouse doorbell to report the blaze as smoke poured from an attached garage and family room.
The Naperville Sun reports (http://bit.ly/KnsL3P ) that there were no injuries in the fire.
Firefighters in the Chicago suburb of Naperville responded in less than one minute after their neighbor rang their bell. It took them less than 15 minutes to get the fire under control. The house was deemed uninhabitable.
