POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- A South Florida firefighter has died as the result of a fall during a training exercise.
According to WSVN and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue, the 50-year-old Pompano Beach firefighter was on top of a 90-foot-high ladder when he fell to the ground at Fire Station 61.
The firefighter has been with the Pompano Beach Fire Rescue Department since 1989.
