California Firefighter Injured During Restaurant Fire

Los Angeles County firefighter suffered non-life-threatening injuries

LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a firefighter has been injured in a blaze that gutted a Wendy's restaurant in Lancaster.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department says about 40 firefighters battled the blaze that broke out about 5 p.m. Tuesday. It was brought under control about an hour later.

City News Service says one firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment of what was described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
