LOS ANGELES (AP) — A fire that roared through an old residential hotel in the Los Angeles harbor area has injured 14 people, three critically.

It took 150 firefighters 34 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which spread rapidly through the 1923 building and damaged seven rooms.

He says the hotel did have smoke alarms.

Arson investigators are at the scene, but Scott says there's no word yet on what caused the blaze.
