WATERBURY, Conn.— A 57-year-old Waterbury woman has died after a fire in her condominium.

The Republican-American reports (http://bit.ly/JV3Mn2 ) the badly-burned victim was pulled by rescue workers from the complex on Bucks Hill Road just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

She was found in the kitchen on the second floor of the three-story town house and was pronounced dead at Saint Mary's Hospital.

Fire officials declined to release her name, saying her family was still being notified.

They are investigating the cause of the fire, which they say apparently began in the woman's living room.
