NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Horace Small has formed a unique partnership with Cops On Top to support their upcoming expedition to Argentina to climb Mt. Aconcagua honoring Jonathan Schmidt of the Trumann Arkansas Police Department who was shot and killed during a traffic stop on April 12, 2011. Horace Small’s Active Research and Development program recruits law enforcement and first responders to help Horace Small create the very best products based on what public safety professionals need. Horace Small is currently recruiting law enforcement and first responders for 2012 to join their elite program to help create the next breakthrough products. Cops On Top is in the final preparation for their upcoming January 2012 expedition to Argentina to climb Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America.
Horace Small would like to help Cops On Top raise the critical last minute funds needed for their upcoming climb in January. So, for every person that is accepted into the Active Research & Development program by December 31, 2011, Horace Small will donate $250 to Cops On Top, up to $25,000.
“We believe in the Cops On Top organization,” said Neal Waters, Vice President of Managed Programs and Public Safety. “By helping us recruit officers for our program they are doing an invaluable service to Horace Small and we will in turn show our appreciation through the financial support for their upcoming expedition.”
Horace Small revolutionized the uniform business when he developed the concept of a stock uniform, allowing the public safety service industry to easily and affordably reflect the individual professional’s sense of pride and tradition.
“We feel this partnership would be a great way to start 2012 by helping Cops On Top honor Officer Jonathan Schmidt of the Trumann Arkansas Police Department,” Neal Waters said.
